Surrey Doors Open

If you’re not from Surrey, but have always wondered what all the fuss is about, then we might have the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. If you are from Surrey and need a great staycation, then we‘ve got good news. Being a tourist in your own hometown is where it’s at, especially one week from now!

Surrey’s doors are truly open on June 18th from 10am to 3pm for the 5th annual (you guessed it) Surrey Doors Open event. “What’s Surrey Doors Open?” you ask?  It’s a free celebration that showcases Surrey’s diverse neighbourhoods, highlighting 21 of the unique places and spaces found throughout Cloverdale, Grandview Heights, Newton and City Centre. It’s a behind-the-scenes look into Surrey’s rich culture, history, art and architecture.

You can begin and end your Surrey Doors Open experience at the Community Hub of your choosing. Each Community Hub features local food trucks, live entertainment, activities to interest every member of your family and an  irresistible festive atmosphere.

Who here loves a fun selfie? (We won’t believe you if you say no!) Selfie Stations will be set up at  several venues offering you fun photo opportunities that showcase unique Surrey Doors Open experiences. Do you wonder what you’d look like as a train conductor or police officer? Maybe you’ve always wanted to don a beekeeping outfit? Well, now’s your chance!
