Old Surrey Restaurant & Bistro 72

With decades of tradition behind them, the Old Surrey Restaurant is a culinary landmark in Surrey. This family-run business has been celebrating its successes for over 30 years and continues to be a large part of the community with plans to grow in the future.

Old Surrey Restaurant makes its home in a building that is nearly 100 years old. The historic structure was built in 1918 as one of the town’s three key buildings and housed Newton’s general store. Valentine Aguirre took over the space in 1975 and transformed it into what it is today, a one-of-a-kind fine dining establishment in Surrey.  In 2007 Valentine’s son, Philip Aguirre took over as the new owner. The restaurant offers a cozy, intimate atmosphere in addition to cart service, cooking dishes right in front of your eyes for a great experience.

Bistro 72 opened in 2012 and brought a fresh vibe and a casual dining experience to the French cuisine the restaurant serves. Located downstairs from the Old Surrey Restaurant, the bistro provides their complimentary homemade chips alongside a selection of dishes which include lamb burgers, crab cakes, and AAA New York strip loin.

Keeping themselves unique, the Aguirre family own a farm in Chilliwack that supplies lamb, veal and pork for the restaurant. Their ingredients are locally sourced, fresh, and organic, ensuring dishes of the highest quality. Choose from their rotating array of dishes on their menu or come by for a 6 course dinner. Popular picks are the Rack of Lamb andChateaubriand.

Take a trip to Old Surrey Restaurant, and indulge in a feast for the senses.
