Floral Ice Cubes

One great way to spruce up your drinks and impress your guests is with floral ice cubes. These fun, flavorful and decorative additions to your beverages are an excellent way to enhance decor and delight taste buds. They’re very simple to make but leave a lasting impression. This is by far one of the easiest ways to brighten up your day.

All you need is a big ice try, some distilled water, and edible flowers of choice.

Directions:

Fill ice try 1/4 of the way and add edible flowers face down and freeze. Once frozen, add more water and fill to 1/2 full, add more flowers down if desired and freeze again. Once half the tray is frozen, fill to top and freeze again.

Using distilled water ensures that the ice cubes aren’t cloudy so you and your guests can enjoy the beauty of your garnished ice cubes. Be sure to use only edible flowers such as orchids, nasturtiums, pansies, and snapdragons, that have been grown to be eaten.

Feel free to experiment with herbs or slices of fruit to accentuate and compliment the flavours of various beverages.
